What We Believe
(Statement of Faith)
At High Praise Assemblies International, our beliefs are rooted in Scripture and form the foundation of our faith, practice, and discipleship. We uphold the following doctrinal statements, grounded in the infallible Word of God:
The Old and New Testaments (a total of 66 books) are inspired by God without error in original writings, were given by verbal plenary inspiration of God, and we accept them as the final supreme authority in Christian faith, life and conduct.
2 Tim 3:16-17, 2 Pet 1:19-21, Heb 1:1-2
The one God who is eternally self-existent in three dimensions that are coequal, coexistent and coeternal: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Deut. 6:4-5, Matt 28:19, Isa 43:10
He is God, made manifest in flesh without any change in His deity. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary to save man from sin. Through His death on the cross, He made atonement through His shed blood and is our Perfect Substitutionary Sacrifice. All who believe in Him are justified by His blood.
John 1:2, 14; Luke 1:28-34; John 1:29; 1 Peter 2:24; Heb 9:12,14,22
The resurrection of Jesus Christ was real; He rose bodily from the grave and ascended into heaven, where He now intercedes as our High Priest and Mediator. He will come again to receive all who have been cleansed from sin by personal faith in His blood.
Matt 28, Acts 1:10-11, 1 Tim 2:5-6, 1 John 2:1-2
The Holy Spirit convicts man of sin, regenerates believers, baptises them into the Body of Christ with the evidence of speaking in tongues, and empowers them for godly living. He gives spiritual gifts, ordains ministry offices, and produces fruit in the life of the believer.
John 16:7-9, 1 Cor 12:12-13, Eph 1:13-14, 4:30; John 14:16-17; 1 Cor 3:16; Acts 4:8,31; Eph 5:18; Gal 5:22-23; Acts 1:8; 1 Cor 12:4-11, 28-30; Eph 4:11-12
As a veritable being in collaboration with the fallen angels, Satan perpetuates and sustains evil, frustrating the servants of God and the Church of Jesus Christ in fulfilling God’s plan on earth. Despite his cunning ploys, he is a defeated enemy who will suffer eternal death in the lake of fire together with his servants and the unsaved. His efforts in destroying the church will not prevail.
Matt 25:41, Col 2:14-15
Man was sinless in creation but disobeyed in Eden, and is therefore a sinner by nature, expressed in sinful thoughts and deeds. He is not able to please God unless saved by grace. The believer will be raised in spiritual body to live eternally with God, while the unbeliever will face eternal punishment.
Gen 1:27-31, Ps 51:5, Isa 64:6, Jer 17:9, Matt 25:46, John 5:29, Mark 7:21-23, John 3:18, Rom 3:10-18, Gal 5:19-21, 1 Cor 15:12, Rom 5:12
The universal Church is composed of all who are saved by faith in Jesus Christ, regardless of denomination. The local Church should reflect the spiritual nature of the Church, requiring new birth and personal confession of Christ for membership.
John 14:1-3, 1 Cor 12:12-13, Acts 2:47, Eph 1:22-23, 2:22, 5:2, Heb 12:23
We believe in the personal, pre-tribulation, pre-millennial return of our Lord Jesus Christ to receive His Church, and that this blessed hope deeply impacts the personal life and service of the believer.
Matt 24:44, 26:26-30, Acts 8:36-39, Rom 6:3-4, 1 Cor 11:23-32, 1 Tim 5:10
Baptism by immersion, the Lord’s Supper (communion), and foot washing are commanded and should be practiced by every believer.
Matt 3:16-17, 26:26-30, Acts 8:36-39, Rom 6:3-4, 1 Cor 11:23-32, John 13:4-17, 1 Tim 5:10
Government is ordained by God for societal good. We are to honour, obey, and pray for those in authority, except in matters that conflict with God’s Word.
Matt 22:21, Rom 13:1-7, 1 Tim 2:2, 1 Pet 2:13-14
We believe in heterosexual relationships between a natural man and woman within marriage. Membership requires adherence to this standard, though all are welcome to attend our services.
Gen 2:21-25, Lev 18:22, 20:13, 1 Cor 6:9-10
We believe God hates divorce and encourage that the divorcee wait until one party has passed before remarrying. However, we do not discriminate, and grace is extended to those who have undergone healing and counseling.
Mal 2:14-16, Mark 10:1-12, 1 Cor 7:10-11, 39
We believe in monogamy. Those in polygamous relationships prior to salvation are welcome, but may not hold leadership positions.
Titus 1:6-9, 1 Tim 3:1-6
We discourage believers from marrying non-believers, though we do not condemn those already in such marriages before coming to faith.
2 Cor 6:14-18, 1 Cor 7:12-15
Marriage must be legally recognised, whether traditional or civil, by the government of the day.
Cohabitation is not permitted. Persistent violation without repentance will result in suspension and possible termination of membership.
1 Cor 6:18, 7:2, 10:8
Total abstinence is expected before marriage. Violations are subject to discipline and restoration processes.
1 Cor 6:18, 7:2
Courtship and engagement are not equivalent to marriage. Members in these relationships should maintain purity and may face consequences for violating this principle.
Holiness is not optional. It begins at new birth and continues progressively. Without holiness, no one shall see the Lord.
1 Pet 1:15-16, Heb 12:14
Healing is provided for in both the Old and New Testaments and is part of the Gospel.
Isa 53:3-4, Jer 8:22, Matt 8:17
All members must submit to church leadership, doctrine, and discipline. Leadership has final authority on all church matters.
1 Pet 5:5-6
Those on the altar must be dressed modestly and not in a seductive manner.
Members are free to engage in politics to promote godly values, but must remain ambassadors of Christ and not compromise their faith.

My "Never Again" Confession List
This declaration list is a faith-based commitment to align one's words with the truth of God's Word. Rooted in Scripture, it reflects a deliberate choice to reject negative confessions and instead speak life, faith, and victory in Christ. Each statement replaces limitation, fear, and lack with biblical truth, reinforcing the power of spoken faith as taught in Matthew 8:8, "Speak the word only."
1. Never again will I confess “I can’t”, for “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).
2. Never again will I confess lack, for “My God shall supply all my need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19).
3. Never again will I confess fear, for “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7).
4. Never again will I confess doubt or lack of faith, for “God has dealt to every man the measure of faith” (Romans 12:3).
5. Never again will I confess weakness, for “The Lord is the strength of my life” (Psalm 27:1), and “the people who know their God shall be strong and carry out great exploits” (Daniel 11:32).
6. Never again will I confess the supremacy of Satan over my life, for “Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world” (1 John 4:4).
7. Never again will I confess defeat, for “God always leads me in triumph in Christ Jesus” (2 Corinthians 2:14).
8. Never again will I confess lack of wisdom, for “Christ Jesus has become for me wisdom from God” (1 Corinthians 1:30).
9. Never again will I confess the domination of sickness, for “By His stripes I am healed” (Isaiah 53:5), and “Jesus Himself took my infirmities and bore my sicknesses” (Matthew 8:17).
10. Never again will I confess worries and frustrations, for I am “casting all my care upon Him, for He cares for me” (1 Peter 5:7). In Christ, I am carefree.
11. Never again will I confess bondage, for “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty” (2 Corinthians 3:17). My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.
12. Never again will I confess condemnation, for “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1). I am in Christ; therefore, I am free from condemnation.
